The Miracle of Pittron - 1972

`The Miracle of Pittron`

Wayne Alderson, the first American soldier across the Rhine in 1945, was severely wounded but he recovered to become a financial controller of a steel mill before other events intervened!

Wayne is the founder of `Value of the Person`, Pittsburgh, and gave an independent film producer, Robin Miller, permission to make this film.

The documentary ‘The Miracle of Pittron` captures the dramatic transformation of an organisation when people experience being valued in the workplace.

For many years this documentary has been shown on Public Service Broadcasting in the USA over Labour Weekend. Whilst the key message highlights the potential of great Labour/Management relationships, the principles apply across society and are universal in their impact.

Nearly forty years later the messages are being revisited as we have seen the demise of the economies of the world.
